The doctor gave me a new list of requirements yesterday. I'm going to try to keep track of them, and note my progress here.
-Get up at the same time each morning. if I wake up early, do not go back to sleep. Go outside for a thirty minute walk as soon as I get up AND it's light outside.
-Start a bedtime ritual. Take medication, brush teeth, possibly take a shower if its relaxing, read for a bit. After 30 minutes, go into a dark, quiet, cool room and fall asleep. If partner snores, sleep in a separate room. (I know I won't follow that last little bit. Probably should have talked about it more, but I was too tired).
-Get the book Say Goodnight to Insomnia, and read it.
-Eliminate as much caffeine as possible from my diet.
-Start exercising as soon as possible.
